One of the side benefits of astronomy in my opinion is definitely the opportunity to visit many amazing places all around the world. Here are some highlights from the work trips I took in the past couple of years.
Montmartre, a lovely weekend before the first ECOGAL workshop in Paris - May 2022
The view from the conference venue at the first Dustbusters summer school, in Gargnano, Italy - May 2022
Boboli gardens in summer - June 2022
Pretty leaves and crazy humidity at the Leiden botanical graden - January 2023
Looking for the best Eiffel tower view on the second ECOGAL workshop in Paris - May 2023
In front of the EAS 2023 venue, in Krakow - July 2023
A selection of the definitely not work-related hobbies I enjoy the most :)
I am a passionate crafter and I have a particular inclination for everything textile-related. I especially enjoy crocheting, knitting and sewing, which I think reach their full joyful potential when shared. In this picture, the awesome ESO crochet club on Secret Santa day in 2022.
I really enjoy inline skating, even though I'm by no means an expert - I just learned how to brake on my own a couple of months ago! In this picture I'm at one of the awesome Munich Blade Nights with some ESO and Max Planck friends in July 2023.
I spent countless summers in my childhood and as a teenager in the beautiful italian Alps, so I'm very happy whenever I get the chance to go hiking near the austrian border or around one of the many lakes in Bavaria. This picture is from a winter hike in January 2023, with the whole ESO gang.
